Celia Längle (*1980) is a Zürich based artist. Her work is based on content-related and artistic-experimental research leading to transmedial installations and displays that invite recipients to make their own connections and associations.
„For me the artistic process mainly is a combinatorial process that removes observations and constructs from their original frames, creates new juxtapositions and thereby generates new references, meanings and spaces of experience. It is a process of decoding and recoding, of transformation and deterritorialization."

"Celia Längle indes gelingt es mit ihrer Arbeit „The void botanic miner” mit geringsten Mitteln ein gesamtes Universum aufzumachen. Eine dokumentarische Fiktion, eine Art Mockumentary ohne „mock”, sondern als alternative Realität in Form eines Gedankenexperiments.
Längle erzählt von gebietsfremden Pflanzen, Aliens, wenn man so will, von zukünftigen Formen der Botanik und damit auch des Lebens. Ein wirklich herausragender Ansatz, der Komplexität durch Einfachheit schürt, so wie das Computerspiel und Massenphänomen Minecraft, auf welches die Künstlerin mit dem Titel ihrer Arbeit referiert. 27.03.2023, Jeremias Heppeler in thurgaukultur.ch
