This multi-piece installation focuses on a sensitive engagement with machines and relates them to personal experiences and memory fragments. Instead of concepts closely linked to machines such as productivity and efficiency, a contemplative and resonating encounter is proposed that leaves space for a meandering between the material and the immaterial, between human and machine entity. Attributes such as animism or transhumanism can be ascribed to the work in the broadest sense, but I am concerned with what I call "experimental empathy" - understood as a central transformative element. Through an intense empathic engagement with one of my most personal apparatuses, a new field of action opens up that frees it from trivial tasks and grants it unexpected poetic potential. The functions assigned are re-coded and new possibilities of encounter and perspectives open up.
